Carpe Valentine’s Diem!
This is a mobile iPhone app for the men who want to start Valentine’s Day off in the right foot and for those who might forget to give a gift for their loved ones. The app is Build-A-Card: Cupid Edition By ISBX.
When you open the app you will first be asked to pick a photo from either your camera, photo album or your Facebook account. After you choose that special photo you will then move to the next step of selecting one of the pre-designed card templates. All the templates are setup on the left side for you to easily scroll through and when you choose any of them the full size image of that particular one is presented on the right side. There are ten designs that are offered, they are pretty fancy and not at all cheezy looking. If they were I wouldn’t be recommending this app. Next when you are satisfied with your design then you can what they call “Add Stuff.” These are Valentine’s Day related images like a box of chocolates, roses, a bottle of wine and many other things which can be added to the design and your photo. Now for the last step before you ”Send It” by email, Facebook or Twitter is to “Write Something.” This is adding your own personalized message to the appropriate areas in each design.
It probably takes only a few minutes to make a Valentine’s Day card and send it with this app because of it’s simplicity and uncomplicated interface. One of the features to mention that makes it simple is the effortless resizing, positioning and rotating of the main photo and the given V-Day related images (Stuff) with your fingers.
However there are a few minor drawbacks, one being connected to the “Add Stuff” section. The encumbrance is that when you cannot touch previously added Stuff images after you add a new one. So if you add a new image and have it placed and resized to exactly how you want it and the image before is now in the way then you must undo the one you just perfectly placed to get to the older image, delete that and then position and adjust the new image again. The other little handicap is the inability to change font type and size when you are writing something. This small addition is not needed but could add maybe even a little more personalization to the card.
So forget those last minute lame Valentine’s cards you pick up at the card shop, instead first thing on Valentine’s Day proclaim your love for your loved one by having them read your well-designed and personalized Build-A-Card that you created for them easily with this app.
