I have recently hit that level where I am texting a lot more than talking on the phone. AAAMOF you probably know that it just saves money and time doing it this way. One thing though that I am trying to improve upon is the speed at which I text. I have come to realize through using the SMS Slang Dictionary app on my iPhone that the best way of going about it is to incorporate short hand acronyms (slang) into my messages, which become more brief, fast and straight to the point. KIS!

I wouldn’t say that I am old school TBH, because I do know some of the commonly used texting slang but by no means I am even close to grasping the SMS slang knowledge that teens have these days. There is so much out there that I still have to decipher often times the acronyms in my incoming messages and emails. However thanks to SMS Slang Dictionary’s large database of 4000 slang acronyms I can find and construe most of them easily and then I add these to my own slang texting vocabulary.

The interface and format for the app is an alphabetically listed top-down scroller of SMS slang terms with a search box at the bottom. OBTW, as a little tip remember that the search function will help you find words and letters in an unraveled acronym and not the acronym itself. Also in the app are one touch options to either quickly email or copy the slang terms and that’s it, very easy to use.

Have the SMS Slang Dictionary available whenever you shoot your next text or email message because it will help to immensely condense your messages without losing the meaning, thus saving you some time and from the hand cramping.  BEG!  CYL!
