NHL Playoffs At Its Best

So far most of the series in the NHL playoffs have been awesome. There has been lots of intense back and forth action, many nail-biting overtime games and even some early surprising upsets. I am getting all this and more from the NHL GameCenter 2010 PREMIUM app on my ipad, which is great because my busy schedule doesn’t always allow me the chance to watch my favorite teams play.

There are many features that this app offers which you won’t get from just watching a playoff game. My most liked is the Ice Tracker, a unique take on all the action that took or is taking place in a game. What it is is an image of a rink with specifically placed icons around representing where and when shots, goals and even hits were on the ice. Whenever you tap on one of these icons you will get a little summary of what occured but what’s even sweeter is if you have the video option selected you will have the opportunity see all the icon summaries in video form. Some of the other features to note are the instant access to players stats, team standings and the latest news around the NHL.

The layout of the app is very nice and for the user the interface is made easy to use. In all the app windows most of the primary and interface buttons are easier to identify than the other ones. The main header options are placed at the top. There is a large scroll window for the full scoreboard of all the past and current playoff games. Finally playing the sharp looking videos and scrolling through the amazing photos was also an easy task to perform.

To use the app and it’s features you will need to be on a network and once on you will also get access to clear radio coverage of  live games, a live Ice Tracker to follow the games along and active Twitter updates from the NHL.

Not everyone has the time to watch all their favorite playoff games and if you are one of those guys that can’t miss a beat then you will definitely be replacing what little time you have on your flat-screen with the time on your NHL GameCenter 2010 PREMIUM app.
